Interest Fair Reminder:
Tuesday is our school's Interest Fair. Students can bring their projects in starting at 7:30 on Tuesday morning. Evaluators will be meeting with students starting at 9:00. Please make sure your child practices talking about their project so that they are prepared to talk with an evaluator. Classrooms will visit the fair on Tuesday afternoon. This is a great opportunity for classmates to see each other's projects. Families are invited back to school on Tuesday evening from 5:00-7:00 to visit the fair. All projects should be taken home at the end of the evening. Our Roosevelt 5th graders will be selling refreshments during the Interest Fair. All proceeds will be going toward a special end of the year field trip to Milwaukee that they are planning. We look forward to seeing the projects our students present at this year's Interest Fair!!!

Thank you to the families who provided meals for the teachers during parent-teacher conferences. It was appreciated so much!!!
What if my child has an appointment during the school day?
If your child needs to leave during the school day for an appointment, an adult must come in the building to sign-out the child. When the parent arrives at school, the child will be called down to the office. If the child returns to school following the appointment, an adult must accompany the child into the school and stop in the office. The child will need a pass to go back to class. This lets the teacher know that the child has stopped in the office. The parent also must sign-in the child in the binder in the office. Thank you for your help with this procedure.

Are you going on vacation?
If your family is going on vacation and your child is going to be missing one or more days of school, please make sure you let Mrs. Akkala know. You can either call 751-6970 ext. 18100 or you can email her at [email protected]. It is important that the office is aware of your child's absence. This will avoid an unnecessary phone call being
made to the parent.
